Overview

The SitOrSquat app allows users to find the nearest public restroom and can be a valuable resource for anyone with diarrhea or other gastrointestinal diseases. The app is powered by Charmin and features bathrooms all over the United States and even select countries outside of the US. It is available to download for free on The App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android devices.

Description

With the SitOrSquat app, users can log and review public bathrooms with either a “Sit” (meaning the user had a good experience at the bathroom) or a “Squat” (for bathrooms that could be improved) so that other users can know whether or not to go there in a pinch. Users can even input pictures and descriptions to help other users know everything about the bathroom before using it. The bathrooms can be viewed on a map or list view for full functionality.

Finding The Bathroom

When you have to go, you need to be able to locate the closest restroom as quickly as possible. To help users, the app has a map view where users can see all of the bathrooms by their location and quickly identify if the bathrooms are recommended by other users. The map is interactive and even gives users an estimated travel time to get there.

Filters

With bathrooms, many people have different preferences or needs. This is why the SitOrSquat app allows users to filter the results based on rating, price (whether they are free to use or not), or whether or not they have amenities like a baby changing table or handicap accessibility.

Community

Anyone with a gastrointestinal disorder knows the importance of finding a usable bathroom. The app relies on its users to add new bathrooms, rate them, and provide any helpful comments or photos for other users. The community is an essential part of the SitOrSquat app and users can help other people avoid trouble.
